Shop / hawk sports grappling dummy
Tired of your dummy lying flat? CBC MMA brings you the most versatile grappling dummy in the market. Our innovative design ensures that the dummy looks and acts realistic when drilling. The dummy simply holds its position, with a hunched back, bent knees to chest, and bent elbows. Don't drill on a dummy that looks and acts like a dead body. So you know what to do! Put on your smarty pants and get this grappling dummy!
The versatility of this grappling dummy is unparalleled. It allows you to practice against realistic positions in seated, supine, and turtle. The limbs are flexible and retractable, enabling you to engage in a wide range of techniques, including Guard Passes + Guard Retention, Top Control + Pin Escapes, Back Takes + Back Escapes, Sweeps, Leg entries, Turtle Attacks, Open Guard (seated guard, shin guard, De La Riva, Reverse De La Riva), and Ground & Pound from EVERYWHERE. Furthermore, you can practice ALL Submissions, such as RNC (rear naked choke), Guillotine, Armbar, Triangle, Heel Hook, Knee Bar, Ankle Lock, and Toe Hold.
To fill the dummy, we recommend the following:
1) Recommended Material: - 50 lbs of fabric (used clothing or bed sheets) - 2 lbs of polly-fill (aka polyester filling)
2) Estimated Time: 60 ~ 75 minutes
3) General Instructions: - Fill the extremities (feet/ankle/shin/hand/wrist/forearm) with poly-fill, and the rest with tightly packed fabric. This method helps the dummy hold its position. - Fill both materials as tightly as possible. - For the lower extremities, fill the feet, ankle, and halfway point of the shin with poly-fill. - Tightly pack the fabric in the knees so that it holds the 90-degree angle. - IMPORTANT: Fill the joints (elbows, knees, and shoulders) VERY TIGHTLY with fabric so that they hold the 90-degree angle. - The hips, butt, and crotch must be filled TIGHTLY with fabric to make it support the leg and hold the position. - The neck and head should be filled tightly with no empty spots.
4) Tips: - The key is to pack it tightly; really compact the fabric as much as possible (push/pull/hit/massage it in). - The hips and shoulders are the toughest areas, so be sure to get in between and stuff it as much as possible. - For the body/torso, you can be more liberal with how you fill. - After finishing, throw the dummy around, hit it, step on it, or smash it to compress the fabric a bit more. Over time, you can stuff it more as needed. - If done correctly, it should be tough to close the zipper.
This grappling dummy is designed for Mixed Martial Arts practitioners, providing a realistic training experience for a variety of techniques and submissions.
